Chelates

The trace elements are minerals available in animal tissues in very low concentrations. They are essential nutrients and play a fundamental role in the organic substance synthesis, like hormones, enzymes etc… In nature they are supplied by feeding, however their form might not be sufficiently available for proper&healthy animal nutrition.

The trace elements mainly used in animal feeding are as follows:

Manganese, which improves and stabilizes the reproductive parameters.

Zink, precious in the metabolic activities as component or enzymes activator.

Copper, for enhancing the immune defense system.

Iron, to prevent anaemia and increase blood hemoglobin.

The chelates are new molecules arising from the reaction between trace element and one or more amino acids. Such a stable link provides chemical stability as well as improved bioavailability compared to non organic trace elements. The elements which go through such process become ”organic”.

Compared to non organic trace elements, the chelate trace elements keep themeselves linked and protected in the intestinal tract, therefore absorbed in the first portion at 90/95% efficiency (versus 5/30% for non organic ones). High absorption by chelate trace elements decreases the possibility of lost amounts in feces with associated less pollution.
